ADCD (Attention Deficit Cleaning Disorder)

Since I haven't posted much the past few weeks, I feel it's appropriate to do two posts in one day.  Especially since it's Sunday, and I'm finally sitting down to relax.  I came across this post and it made me laugh at first because apparently there is a name for my disease, it's called ADCD.  Let me explain...

My post earlier was about spring.  I mentioned we were looking to buy a house and hopefully be moving by the summer.  After coming across this picture, it actually inspired me.  Since I do suffer from this 'disease', (cleaning too many things at once) I decided that I need to make it my main goal for the next few weeks to  focus on ONE specific area at a time and get RID of things we don't need.  I started by cleaning out one of our TWO "junk drawers".  It took less than ten minutes - and I got rid of almost the entire drawer, which, by the way, was barely operational when I started because it was packed so full with things we thought we needed to save.  It's such a great feeling to "de-clutter" and for me, it's a great stress reliever. I love coming home to a CLEAN house.  Not just when it 'appears' clean because everything is stuffed in drawers and shoved away in closets - where I don't have to see it. Out of sight, out of mind, right?  WRONG.  I rarely feel like I can relax, so for the most part there is always something to be done around the house.

For the next month or two, I plan to tackle an area of my house each week (or however long it takes) and get rid of anything and everything we don't use on a REGULAR basis.  This to include my bathroom cabinets & drawers, my closet (ugh), Rylee's closet, (which for lack of space in the condo is where -everything- goes that we don't use often), I think I'll save that one for last, and continue on to every other nook & cranny there is until it's all clutter free!  I'm going thru everything sooner or later, in hopes to get a less cluttered, more organized, clean slate to work with when setting up the new house.  Until next time, enjoy the sun!  I promise this is the last one today :)
