While I was on the treadmill yesterday at the gym I heard something I think I really needed to hear – “Stop obsessing over the number on the scale, you can lose inches and pants sizes without that number dropping an ounce” – it definitely hit home for me because losing weight and getting my “pre-baby” body back has been really important to me. And if I’m like anyone else out there I get a little disappointed when I bust my ass at the gym 3-4 days a week and don’t notice any movement on the scale. It really opened my eyes to what my goal SHOULD be – to be in shape is to be stronger and healthier. I never have been and never will be a size “zero” and that’s okay with me. As long as I feel good, eat right, and work out when I can – I know I’m doing something right. Don’t be too hard on yourselves, weight is just a number – it’s how YOU feel that is important! Kind of like age, you’re only as old (or as YOUNG, as you feel). Don’t compare yourself to anyone else, we are all fighting a different battle. Whether you’re struggling with weight, finances, addictions – whatever it may be, it’s always important to pray for determination & focus and to have FAITH that God hears you. All you can do is be positive and live how He wants us to – everything else will happen how it’s supposed to.
Bless others & be blessed.
