Introduction

So, you may be wondering why I chose this name for my blog.  It is not that “housework” has replaced “love” in my favorite quote – I am just choosing to make my main focus of this blog to be more about these 3 particular things, rather than to talk about my love life.  I love my husband very much, and of course, my family and friends – but our love, is just that – OUR love.  It’s private.  It’s personal.  And it’s special and I want to keep it that way.  So, not to say that it won’t ever come up in my posts, just saying it won’t be my main focus. 

A littler background on me for those who don’t know.  I am married, with a beautiful daughter who is now 10 months old, and an awesome step son who is 10 years old.  Ryan and I have been together almost 3 years and are hoping to soon be out of our condo that we have outgrown completely.  We have two dogs, Sky & Jackson (lab & wiener dog), and with them, us and the baby, it’s a little crowded.  We are hoping to buy/rent a house by this summer, so until then our little condo is what we call home.

I didn’t go to college after high school, I got into the IBEW Union here in Fairbanks and worked for Cellular One, which soon merged into what we now all know as AT&T, for 5 years.  I got vested and then moved on to a more fitting, “adult” job in the Finance office for the State of Alaska Department of Transportation.  I don’t regret not going to college, it wasn’t for me at the time, but eventually after our family is complete I may go back to school for cosmetology, writing – or something that I have a passion for.  My dream would be to have my writing published, or open my own shop of some sort.  Anyways, I’m starting this blog as a hobby and to hopefully provide some good reading for anyone who has any common interests or ideas.  Any feedback is welcome… Hope you will like it.
