Organized House, Organized Life

I've mentioned the fact that I have a "slight" case of OCD.  However, I may have down played that a bit.  Nothing makes me happier than my house being clean...and my car...and office...and gym bag.. all being organized the best way I can possible find.  I like simple.  I like things to flow easily.  When I can find ways to eliminate hassle, or even save a little time and look classy while doing it, I'm all for it.  This is one of the reasons I'm obsessed with Pinterest.  Not only do they have a fashion section for when you are wanting inspiration for that perfect "in" outfit, a humor section for those days when you just need a good laugh, but they also have an awesome DIY section with lots of great ideas for home and office.  I find all these cool ideas and think - wow, why can't I ever come up with these witty, out-of-the-box-ideas on my own?  They are just such clever and simple ideas to make life easier - and more stylish, if you will.   I don't know about you, but I find that when my house is clean, things are in order, and we're not living in a whirlwind of last week's messes - I can relax and breathe easier.  Life is hard enough with all the day to day dealings we all go thru - work, school, kids, sports, classes, on top of trying to fit in cooking, (I already admitted my husband does most of that), making it to the gym as much as possible, and getting things clean and taken care of, like that dreaded laundry chore I despise so much. If you have ideas on how to make life simpler, (at least around the house), feel free to share!

 A FEW OF MY FAVES..

Here's a way to "file" the mail when we check it every day.  Instead of it piling up on the kitchen table and eventually it getting thrown away or misplaced - it's easy to find, looks  cute, and has a spot to write reminders or lists.  (I'm big on lists too because it seems my memory is nothing like it used to be).

I LOVE this idea.  A dry erase board to write out your weekly menu.  We typically do this every Sunday with the old school pen and paper method, but this way it's "posted" so that everyone remembers.  Also, helps to remind you what frozen foods need to be thawed out in the morning before work.

I actually did something similar to this today - instead of using the curtain rod to hang cleaning supplies from - I used an old bucket I had to hang supplies around the rim. Saves lots of space and makes it easy to find things.

Last , but not least, my favorite.  I can't wait to have a bigger house that we actually LOVE and can do neat things like this in.  Such a great idea, especially in a guest bathroom where they are displayed and easy to find - and look super classy, too.

That's all for now, but if you haven't already - check out Pinterest and the DIY section, lots more to look at!

Hope everyone had a fabulous Monday.  Let's get organized this week!
